Permission denied when attempting to save after editing.

After editing a photo, attempting to save will pop up a Permission Denied error. At no point was the shared storage permission requested in order to grant that permission.

You're using Android 13 right? Someone else reported this issue already I think, haven't had the time to look into it with an emulator yet.

That is correct. Sorry I missed the previous issue.

No there was no previous issue, someone sent a message on Mastodon but I didn't get around to reproducing and creating an issue for it yet
